This is the original sketch for the last watercolour post. It was drawn in autumn using prismacolor pencils . This is the same tree that has appeared in several of my sketches. I don't know how many of you remember "Billy the Mountain" by Frank Zappa, but if I'm not careful the tree with want payment, go on a vacation to New York only to be pursued by Studebaker Hoch after destroying everything in it's path just by the act of moving over it. This is really nice. You have more absolute values in the sketch, giving it much needed depth and shadows. There is a lot of blending since grass and leaves on trees are generally the same color or at least similar in saturation. I really like thedepth that the foreground has, it really gives a sense of serenity again focusing on one tree that stands out above the rest.
